Better Late Than Never

Hello friends, so much for my Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting hey?  Oh well, at least I'm getting some stuff up!!!

So as you may or may not know I'm currently doing the ABC challenge hosted by the lovely Kimber over at Kimber's Lacquer Korner and I often come up with ideas and execute them fine, but then come up with another idea or as in this case remember that I'm supposed to be posting purple mani's for my boo Becca over at Nail Narcotics.  This was originally done for "L" day and is inspired by the lovely Lacey over at Lace and Lacquers.  I'm not sure if you've heard of Lacey or are following her on Instagram, but this girls cracks me up - she's got THE BEST potty mouth and doesn't give a damn who hears/reads.  Her puppy is super cute and she always has great reviews on all kind of products!  So if you're not following her, go now, I promise you won't be disappointed.

To see the mani that inspired this look, click here.  I have no idea how Lacey had the patience to do all of her fingers, after the first one I tapped out, there's no way I was doing all of them!!

Can you tell these are from the vault?  Ya, they're much shorter than my nails are now - love it!!

Also, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Heather over at Peace, Love and Polish who had her baby today - a boy named Connor - he's a real cutey!!  Keep an eye on Heather's blog for guest bloggers while she gets settled with Connor, you might even see one from me - hint hint!!

That's all for now, have a good one!

Skittle it, Just a Little Bit

Hiya!!  I'm totally giggling at my post title right now - I was just thinking "uh, it's so hard to come up with clever post names all the time" and POP this just jumped on in to the ol' noggin.  I don't know if it's obvious or not, but I always try to come up with clever names for my posts - I want them to have a little to do with what I'm posting about, but they have to be some sort of pun or play on words.  I think that's my favorite part of the process, coming up with the title - oh the little things that make me happy :)  Thankfully blogger has a blog reader that shows the picture beside the post or I would get no traffic!!  LOL, I'm just thinking about Monday's title "Golden Nude."  Bring on the crazy search terms!!

Teal Skittles Black and White Roses Leopard Glitter

This is the first time I've done leopard print with white, I like it, but I don't know if it screams leopard to me.  And, this is the second post in one week that I've used glitter - Gini, are you proud of me or what? LOL!!

Teal You What

Hello polished pals!!  I feel like I've been slacking on the blogging lately, for some reason I'm having a bit of bloggers block.  I haven't given up doing my nails, and I don't view blogging as work (yet, thankfully), I'm just so focused on other things!  Not that I actually have to do anything for those other things, it's just that they're there.  Plus, because I've dropped all my challenges, I don't have that timeline to get posts up by a certain time.  When I first started blogging, I was doing it everyday and then had to keep up with challenges, so I was posting mostly everyday.  Now that I have no schedule to keep, it's been hard for me to stick to regular posts.  I think I'll try for Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting next week, that seems reasonable to me - agree?

Teal with Silver Stamp and Glequins

Teal with Silver Stamp and Glequins

I'm not a huge fan of this mani, I wish I had used gold instead of silver, but I don't have any gold glequins, so I settled on silver.  I love this teal, but it stains so bad, there's no room to get this on your cuticles or you'll have it there for a while.

Favorite Glitter?

Hiya Lovelies!  I'm a day late posting for Ooh La La's My Favorite Things Challenge and I'm super duper sorry.  I'm up to my eyeballs in challenges - which couldn't be more fun - but it has thrown off some of my posts for September.

I can't believe that we're on Day 7 of this challenge already!  How time flies!!  We only have three more days left and I'm a little bummed it's almost over.  Today is GLITTER!!  I love glitter, despite the fact that it sucks to take off. I ended up not leaving this on for very long, so it wasn't that hard to get off.  I also love the look of matte glitter, I took a chance on this and mattified it, I liked it, but wish the camera could pick up the blue-y, teal-y goodness that was the glitter I used....

This one is the most true to the color it was on my nails and it shows the matte as well....
Here's my first attempt at this mani - I actually like it better and wish I had used this one instead....oh well, sharing now :)

Tell me About it, Stud!

My first foray into 3D nail art!  I've been reluctant to get on this bandwagon because the idea of having my hair caught in my nails every five seconds would drive me batty!  One of the things I bought on my birthday gift certificate spending spree at Walmart, as mentioned in my Caribbean Calypso post, was a package of Kiss Nail Artist Metallic Accents.  There's a huge stud trend out in the nail world lately - Sammy of The Nailasaurus does a bunch of really cool designs with studs, I was going to link to a few, but I like way too many of them, so just added a link to her site, search "stud."  I ended up really loving this mani and found myself being extra super careful not to rip the studs off - even the hubby commented on my nails, a very rare occurrence around here!  I haven't managed to get them caught in anything yet, which is amazing, I think the top coat really helps smooth out the edges.

Recognize the title of this post?  Extra special happy points if you do :)
